Hi and hello 2025 version of my favourite email sub, did you celebrate the New Year big?

I damn well hope so cz you’ve just bought yourself 11.7 months of willpower not spent on keeping your peace with the relatives….

(that’s a fucking win)

So do tell me how you survived this Christmas!!

I’ll go first:

This year, I decided to protect my willpower by booking a flight to Sofia.

All I wanted was to hang out with my team, but…

They actually made me work!!

And it only got worse:

They threatened me into

• eating my bodyweight in dishes

• watching 1 season of The Witcher

• excelling at smuggling unlawful goods (board games ok)

• accepting one MacBook as a Christmas gift (wait I’m not allowed to share that)

Anyhows the trip was stuffed!! And so am I….

But the biggest gift?

Between board games & business strategy, Jordan & Diana forced me to get real.

You know me I don’t listen:

Even if I’m year 2 into paying a software engineer with 15 years of experience and a million dollar company CEO to tell me the truth…..

I’m attached to my way of doing things ok!!!!

And that’s a recipe for disaster….

Let me explain.

If you’re anything like me, here’s what’s keeping you stuck:

It’s not your skills.
It’s not the market.
It’s not your mum or your cow or your MBTI type.

It’s your beliefs.

(and they’re screwing you big time)

Now…

If you lack the luxury of a team knocking common sense into you…

Fix yourself by doing the opposite.

Want real change in 2025?

Flip your script.

(it’s scary I know)

Listen.
Be selfish.
Get bored.
Accept help.
Have the fight.
Make the offer.
Book the flight.
Ask for money.
Call your brother.
Cut off negativity.
Say how you feel.
Be underprepared.
Commit to one thing.
Write emails that suck.
Be okay with not having the answer.

Because what nobody’s telling you is this:

For you to get closer to what you want…

The old you’s gotta die.

Stop hiding in comfort.

Start hunting down what you want.

(Then change your mind the minute you got it but that’s ok)

The best part:

Once you’re committed to changing your ways, things happen FAST.

And I got proof…

Having my brain washed got me +1 dream client over the Holidays.
