the anti-recommend of the week

i spent $67.50 so you don't have to

hi dear email reader enjoying ur Sunday, what’s up with you today?

Last week i promised you more ranting on the content stuff…

attracting peers vs. customers, remember?

(yea me neither)

So let’s start with some recap and see if we’ll get to it this time around.

My week’s highlights:

  • Monday:

  • Tuesday:

  • Wednesday:

  • Friday:

  • Saturday:

Awesome, glad ure overinformed.

Here’s why you should ALWAYS underinform in your content:

(ok only if you’re missing leads)

No wait lemme first call out your pain points (heheh).

pain loading

You’re posting consistently.

You’re giving value and guidance for free.

You’re producing high-end content every week, but…

There’s still crickets on your profile.

Worse: you’re not converting any ‘leads’.

If you’re missing engagement and people who pay you…

it’s time to get real with your content.

The #1 mistake i see ppl make in their LinkedIn content:

Attracting peers, not customers.

That’s cz…

You’re trying too hard.

(to look professional)

High-level info content speaks to all the wrong people.

Pls take a sec to think about:

Who actually gets your biz slang?

– Not your clients.

They’re too far away from your solution to understand they need it.

(if they got the specifics, they don’t need you rite?)

What makes and breaks your content business:

Writing in a way your prospects actually get you.

Want leads?

Start dumbing down your content.

(yup)

You’re already the expert.

0 need to impress.

(or overshare the specifics)

Find pain points your prospects recognize (time, money, leads,…)

and connect them to your solution.

Post:

  • Case studies

  • Personal stories

  • Transformations

  • What you’re working on

  • What clients say (their words, not yours)

Here’s your 3 hacks to attract clients today:

  1. Speak their language

  2. Stop over-informing on the how

  3. Promote the benefit, not the way

Your prospects want a job done…. Don’t train them to do yours.

chill i get it

Makes sense?

Coool, now that we’ve roasted your most painful mistake…

Let’s roast mine.

This week i’ve been trying to find 1 use of AI that’s actually USEFUL and…

Well, I screwed up.

Here’s what happened:

A few weeks back, i had a call with a guy with a dang cinematic profile headshot.

I asked him about it, and to my surprise…..

it was fcking AI.

He sent me a link:

impressive huh

Well.

I had all but forgotten about it UNTIL…

this week, when my friend Jordan annoyed me with his new LinkedIn profile.

I don’t make the rules but…

we can’t have his looker sleeker than mine.

(obviously)

So what i do?

Exactly, thanks for reading my subheadlines.

I spent spent $67.50 so you don’t have to :)

↳ On that Aragon thing.

Meaning… I searched my 2015 Macbook for semi-decent headshots and… gave it a shot.

The results?

Well let’s just say….

my team cracked open a bottle of wine and spent their Friday evening laughing WITH me for 69 minutes straight.

(so you don’t have to)

wouldificould

Now be honest: do i deserve this for trying to AI myself into a new pfp????

………. dont answer that.

Anyways, i still got myself a new profile.

(got that going for me ok?)

Sooooooooo….

Figured you need a new profile yourself?

Well i can/might/wont/maybe help you with that (hehe).

Reply to this email if u interested…

n enjoy the rest of ur Sunday.
